SAY NO TO VIOLENCE
Once again pop culture (television, print and film) prove that its makers are senseless, greedy, self depricating, assholes. Today I counted before 9PM mind you a total of 28 violent acts against males, 2 against females and 5 against children (boys). What gives? Is it ok to sexually assault a male
(kick in the penis/groin) for a laugh. On the pedantic American CBS 'sitcom' "How I Met Your Mother," one of its characters finds it difficult to explain to a raving female character why he is dumping her on her birthday. In the middle of restaurant she rears back and kicks him square in the chest. Of course the laugh track chimes in and we are supposed to respond similarly as audience members. Tonight was the straw that broke that camel's back. It is definitely time for a protest to stop this MADNESS! Violence is ok, nudity is not! What the fuck, yes I said "fuck," is wrong with this country when we cannot control our destinies or choices for that matter. I choose to turn off the television and not take part in this psychosis. I will spend the next few days compiling a list of advertisers, TV programmes, and films that blatantly exploit violence against humans, in particular males. Voice your opinions pro or con. Let's make a difference.
