Barter TownI'm sure there was a time in our ancient past when the indigenous people of this planet did not use currency to exchange goods and services. Ask yourself why does currency, money if you will, have any value at all. You can't eat it, drink it nor can you bury and expect it to grow more money. What if one day out of the entire year, everyone on this planet lived out the day without using cash, money, currency. We could trade goods or valuable services. What would happen to our world, to our economies. Perhaps we have come this far and refuse to seek alternatives to en escalating consumptive economies. Just as we must find an energy alternative to fossil fuels, I believe we have to deploy an efficient economy, one that doesn't depend on currency. Will this ever happen? Certainly it will. Remember we've been down this road before.
This is Vixie (the other half of the duo Phoenix and Vixie). I wanted to try a different look for her, something nostalgic. What do you think. Did we achieve an era long gone? Comment on it.
