Just Who Do You Think You Are?
Cyber worlds. That's what Internet chat communities have become, microcosyms of our fragmented societies, where some behave as if they are elite while others seek domination or love. But when it all boils down to the real deal, there exists just people who have no idea why they do what they do. I've encountered all types of souls through this Internet. Ninety-nine percent of them I will never meet. Yet I feel as if I've known some of them for years. During one of my lulls in productivity, I happened upon a chat room that featured a webcam option. In this community of naked souls I discovered kindness and rudeness from strangers. Nothing different from what you'd expect on any given street; however this was different to me. These were intangible beings who exhibited such odd vehemence that it made me laugh. Yes, I find it funny whether it's another soul in a chat room or a patron in a restaurant. What else can one do but laugh--or maybe I should smile--when confronted with such nonsense. We are all here to live, give back and learn; however, far too many are here under false pretenses. They thrive on vanity, spinning their wheels when the next guy falls so they can ram right over him, whether through words or actions. Perhaps we should be more like plants during this life, observant, giving, understanding and helping further life as opposed to just taking...taking...taking.
Did this shed some light for anyone today? I hope so. Ok, the philospher puts down his pen and offers another self-made film clip to assuage the daily pressures of life--help you avoid the "ultimate signifier,"--enjoy it!
(Rapidshare file...you should know by now how it works. By the way, the clip will be up for only 24 hours...starting now!)
